The reason for this is the changes that the new custom forms require. To make a long story short the new customs forms want the following.
No.1....Detailed description of contents and this means as follows...a detailed description of each item.
Example..If your order had 50 line items..then each line item would need to have a descripiton on the customs form and do the same thing with the other information wanted in No.2 and No.3 and No.4 below.
No.2...They also want to know the Quantity of each item.
No.3..They want the weight of each item.
This part right here weighing each item is the straw that broke the camels back!
No.4 They want the vaule of each item
No.5..If the weight the seller puts down on the form does not match pretty close to what the package weighs at the post office
Then the customs people will rip open your package and go thru it to find out why!
This means you could maybe not get all that you ordered and also means a possible problem for the seller.
These new changes make it near impossible for a small parts company like Dan's Small Parts and Kits to take the additional time to do all of this additional work to make the customs people happy.
For Dan's Small Parts and Kits to take the time to do this is not cost effective.
Dan's Small Parts and Kits will accept international orders only if you follow this procedure.
You must have a contact here in USA that Dan's Small Parts and Kits can ship to.
You must give the full address of this contact on your order.
You must pay with International Money order or Cash..(Your choice)
You can also pay with a Check drawn on a USA BANK..
MUST have the corect routing numbers on check.
ALL checks clear 1st before items are shipped.
If You are from Canada You can pay with Your Countries Postal Money Order.
The Shipping charges will be the same as all USA BUYERS PAY.
Make sure you enclose the right amount for shipping...if not..Your order will not be processed.
Your order must also be insured
Make sure that you include the correct amount to insure for vaule of your order.

This new way that customs want things to be done makes it near impossible for Dan's to continue on as before..
Dan's is a 1 man ball game and runs on a very slim profit margin.
There fore Dan's has come to the conclusion that it is just not worth it to continue to do International orders in the same manner as before.
In time Dan's will post the new customs forms here so that you can see what a mess this has come to now....
